Gynecology

Gynecology visits don’t need to be anxiety-inducing!

As someone who also goes to a gynecologist, I have put a lot of thought into how to make these visits more comfortable. I am offering appointments in-person and virtually (telehealth). If you schedule a virtual appointment with me, know that you can be in the comfort of your home (or your bed), and you can keep your pants on!

Available services:

  • annual exams, pap smears

  • abnormal pap management

  • breast exams

  • contraception (birth control) consultation and management

  • irregular periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)

  • premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)

  • STI (sexually transmitted infection) screening and treatment

  • urinary symptoms

  • vulvar or vaginal symptoms

  • perimenopause / menopause (more details in the “Peri/Menopause” services page)

  • sexual health (more details in the “Sexual Health” services page)

I am a champion of enthusiastic consent! This applies to medical exams as well.

What to expect at this type of visit:

  • Exploration of your personal, family, social, and medical history.

  • In depth discussion around your specific interest or concern.

  • We’ll discuss if a physical exam is recommended.

  • Recommendations and suggestions. This may include blood tests, referrals for physical therapy, medication trials, etc.

You are in control.
You are safe with me.

I often work with people who want a slower pace, self-insertion of the speculum, safe words, no exam, or a partial exam. We will work together to make sure this visit feels comfortable for you.

If you need diagnostics (like labs or imaging):

Most testing can be completed at your local Quest Diagnostics. This would include bloodwork, urine samples, vaginal/internal swabs. I can order the test(s) for you, and then once I receive the result I will contact you through the patient portal. For imaging, I can order these tests to your facility of choice. I often order imaging through the Legacy system, RAYUS Radiology, Women’s Imaging and Intervention, and Providence.

All services are cash-pay. No insurance accepted.
